手・末梢神経外科リサーチ

新しい末梢神経障害の検査法と新しい骨折治療器具を紹介します。

研究概要

手・末梢神経グループでは、これまで困難とされてきた末梢神経再生の画像評価法と新たな神経再生誘導法の開発を目指して研究しています。また、われわれが世界ではじめて開発した橈骨遠位端骨折に対するハイブリッド型のロッキングプレートを用いた骨折治療における研究にも力をいれています。

拡散テンソル法を用いたin vivo末梢神経再生の評価

神経の機能評価として神経伝導速度検査や針筋電図などが有用です。しかし、これらの電気生理学的検査では、神経の回復過程における症状と評価が解離することもあります。また電気刺激を行うことや針を刺すなどの侵襲性にも問題があるため、より低侵襲で定量的な指標が求められています。われわれは、実験動物用7.04テスラ高磁場MRI装置を用いて拡散テンソル法（diffusion tensor imaging: DTI）を応用することで末梢神経損傷の機能と回復過程の評価に成功し、学会でも高い評価をいただきました。（下図）
